Method

The Feldenkrais Method is a somatic learning method that combines movement and perception. The method aims to improve self-awareness and the quality of movement. By consciously noticing and changing habits, participants develop a better understanding of their entire self, discover movement patterns through gentle, explorative movement sequences and thus learn new ways of moving.

At the heart of the method is the principle of neuroplasticity – the brain's ability to reorganise itself. Through new and conscious movement experiences, the nervous system is stimulated to create more efficient and adaptable connections that promote ease and functionality in everyday activities.

In contrast to other methods, the Feldenkrais Method emphasises learning through exploration. This curiosity-driven approach invites you to experience movement and discover what feels new or most comfortable in order to cultivate joy and freedom in movement.
